Setting the Scene

Caroline and Ed have known each other since they started college at SMU for their undergrad degrees. Caroline arrived in Dallas via Cleveland while Ed took a little longer route via Flordia and originally from Brazil. Ed currently is studying for his Masters at SMU in Mechanical Engineering and Caroline works in communications for a pharmacutical logisitics firm.

While they do reside currently in Dallas, they have made the decision to have their 2020 wedding in Cleveland where Caroline’s family still resides. Their planning will be very family-focused taking place at locations that are near and dear to Caroline’s side while still mixing in fun traditions from Ed’s Brazilian roots.

They are looking to plan a wedding on September 12, 2020, with the ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and have settled on the beautiful Country Club for the reception, leaning into it’s natural eleganance and romance. They will have around 290 guests from all over the country and the world and are also interested in a party that allows for a seated dinner for everyone.

While they both lean toward a style that is more traditional with a modern twist, Caroline and Ed believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects them as a couple. Since they are coming from two different cultural backgrounds they are also excited to throw in some fun surprises from each tradition. They are looking to be able to surprise the Brazilian and Dallas contingents with how hospitable Cleveland is and give the Cleveland guests a little taste of how it’s down south.

Planning from a distance, Caroline and Ed are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design for both their wedding and rehearsal dinner. They will have a wedding with a large number of their friends in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy. Caroline and Ed are interested in making their wedding as unique as possible for their guests who have potentially seen it all!
