Unwinding a Wedding Before the World Shut Down

Over several months, we navigated the complexities of postponing the wedding multiple times, coordinating with 90 vendors, and dealing with unforeseen challenges, like a flooded venue just two weeks before the rescheduled date. Throughout it all, the couple remained so committed and patient. Due to its spiritual significance, they even went ahead with a smaller ceremony on their initially planned date.

The wedding finally took place in early 2021, with a mehndi party and a Sangit at the Statler, a Hindu ceremony at Arlington Hall, a Catholic ceremony at Perkins Chapel, and a reception at the 6500 warehouse space. The couple's ability to adapt and the grace shown by their families were truly remarkable.

Ultimately, this wedding was a testament to many things—perhaps, most importantly, love conquering all obstacles. It was a privilege for us to be a part of this incredible journey and to witness the beauty that can emerge even from the most challenging circumstances.

When we set out to create this enchanting grand wedding, we had no idea it would become a symbol of resilience and adaptability.

We originally planned a five-day wedding featuring nine separate events and a guest list of a thousand people. However, just three weeks before the big day, we received news that the world was about to shut down due to a global pandemic.

In an unprecedented move, we decided to unwind the entire wedding before any official announcements were made. Many considered us crazy at the time, but we knew we had to ensure the safety of the guests, including those traveling from India.
