Fortune Favors the Bold - and Those Who Plan Ahead

What we didn't foresee was the hail storm that rolled in and almost had us call off the outdoor ceremony. Fortunately, we were already one step ahead of ourselves because we had pushed to have other spaces prepared beforehand. So, when those ice chunks started falling, the cocktail hour area was ready to go, and we invited everyone inside for pre-ceremony cocktails while we waited out the storm. Perhaps we had seen it coming!

And speaking of visions, the couple had a very specific one for their food and beverage service. So specific, in fact, that it was challenging to alchemize. It took a lot of planning and re-planning, but in the end, we found a way to bring everyone together to create the vision they hoped for - and more!

We don't consider ourselves psychics, but after this couple told us that they connected over wine at The St. Regis and love a Michelin star experience, we immediately knew two things: 1) Incredible food, service, and wine would be at the center of their planning, and 2) The Little Nell in Aspen was the perfect venue for them.

Either we read their palms correctly, or we've been wedding planning long enough to know what's up because, in both cases, we were right. Then again, it could be fate. Initially, the couple had chosen Rocky Oaks in Malibu, CA. But after a series of events (one of which involved moving to Dallas), they decided on The Little Nell.
