The celebration that formed was traditional without any stuffiness, and awash in the aura of old-school New York. Manhattan’s Grace Church, designed by the same creative minds behind St. Patrick’s Cathedral, housed Lexi and Sheen’s ceremony. A waterfront reception showcasing views of NYC followed at Current at Pier 59.
Nature’s symphony came to life amid the white and green decor, as lush floral displays stretched toward the venue’s suspended wave ceiling panels, evoking the flowing river outside. Meanwhile, the candles interspersed over the tablescapes drew everyone into a celebratory spirit, flickering with an inviting warmth as the evening deepened.
In true NYC fashion, the drinks flowed and the dancing was lively, with the festivities never losing their sophisticated spirit. Plates of churros made the rounds to refuel the revelers, a nod to Lexi and Sheen’s original wedding plans. This day was a testament that though plans may change, everything works out in the end—especially when you have the power of love and a serendipitous friendship-turned-creative partnership to see you through.
You never know who you will meet and when, but we’ve learned that the universe has its way of leading you to the right people at the right time. Some may call it luck or fate, but we call it serendipity! And it was one of those destiny-laden moments when we first ran into Lexi and Sheen at the Villa Treville Beach Club in Positano, Italy.
We became fast friends, and they shared their plans to wed in Mexico the following year. At first, it seemed the stars had aligned for us to be friends—until March 2023. That was when Lexi and Sheen called Julian with news that their venue in Mexico had closed, and they needed help planning a wedding in NYC later in the year. If you know us, you know we gladly accepted the challenge.
With the right steps, the right decisions, you’ll naturally have an amazing celebration - and have a little fun along the way too.
Let’s dream together.
I see a world of possibilities for you.
And that’s a pretty fun place to start.
