But what we truly remember most when we reflect on this wedding day is the shift from day to night as every guest flocked to the dance floor for the party of a lifetime. At every planning meeting, Ariel told us, “I just want to dance!”
We followed her cue to transform the Corinthian Houston into an upscale Vegas nightclub after the dinner and toasts. She changed out of her gown into a corset jumpsuit studded with pearls, drinks were passed out in disco ball cups, and the chandelier lighting deepened into electric pink and blue hues, beckoning guests to the large dance floor. Each guest also received a light-up silver cowboy hat: a playful nod to the Lone Star State.
As a Penn State alum, Ariel knew she couldn’t get married without the university’s famous Creamery ice cream, so we had enough shipped to fuel the partiers into the wee hours. Watching her and her groom revel in every moment on the dance floor, we knew we were in the midst of a night not soon forgotten—and that was worth yet another champagne toast!
What do you do if you’re a bride with a contemporary style but fall in love with a historic venue? You hire a planner who can reimagine traditional spaces and marry the best of the past with the present!
We incorporated clean lines throughout the wedding day details—from the fluted glass votives to the towering, sculptural cake—to counterpoint the venue’s neoclassical architecture. Even more integral to this wedding day was the guest experience. The champagne never stopped flowing, from the ceremony on the grand staircase to cocktail hour and the champagne tower poured just before opening the dance floor.
With the right steps, the right decisions, you’ll naturally have an amazing celebration - and have a little fun along the way too.
Let’s dream together.
I see a world of possibilities for you.
And that’s a pretty fun place to start.
