Our third challenge happened only less than a month before the big day—the guest count had grown beyond expectations! With only three weeks to adapt, we had to transform the ballroom seating at Brookhollow and extend it to the porch area. Despite the sudden change, the bride and her mother embraced the challenge, displaying remarkable flexibility and determination.
One of our fondest memories of this wedding was witnessing the incredible teamwork that emerged in those final weeks. Our vendor team rallied together, effortlessly shifting gears and adapting to the evolving circumstances.
And this reminds us of the importance of having a strong and supportive team by your side throughout the planning journey. A team that can seamlessly roll with the punches, adapt to unexpected growth, and turn challenges into opportunities.
As wedding planners, we take pride in being that team for our couples, ensuring their special day is everything they envisioned and more.
When we joined this couple's journey, we were the third planner they had enlisted, and they had relocated from Aspen to Dallas. So, with half of the vendors inherited from the previous planning and the other half handpicked by us, we set out to weave together the threads of their dreams.
One of our first challenges was harmonizing their diverse traditions. The bride, a Chicago girl, was used to lavish cocktail hours and abundant food. Whereas the groom, being from Texas, had a different approach in mind. We had to find the perfect balance, ensuring both families felt at home.
We also had to meld the bride's and her mother's styles. While the mother embraced contemporary trends, the bride cherished her traditional roots. We worked tirelessly to find a harmonious union between the two, resulting in a celebration that honored both their wishes.
With the right steps, the right decisions, you’ll naturally have an amazing celebration - and have a little fun along the way too.
Let’s dream together.
I see a world of possibilities for you.
And that’s a pretty fun place to start.
