Working through the logistics, we designed a truss structure to fit around the venue's vintage chandeliers. We then created a floral canopy that completely covered the dance floor and stage (which we flipped from ceremony space to reception space). Even more magical was that the mirrored dance floor reflected the canopy of flowers and created this gorgeous wonderland of blooms.
Throughout the planning process, every detail was infused with thoughtfulness and sweetness. As a couple with a nostalgic flair, we began crafting a wedding reflecting their shared experiences. For example, we created a charming guestbook styled like a school yearbook, capturing the memories of their journey leading up to their wedding day. And their escort card wall resembled a birdcage where guests found and picked their bird-shaped cards.
We loved that each element added to the overall charm and love felt throughout the celebration. And we loved helping this couple make their indoor wedding dreams come true.
These two souls were destined to be together from the very beginning. They were in the same elementary class and reconnected years later. And eventually, of course, they would exchange vows inside a Catholic church in the bride's hometown before returning to Dallas for their grand affair.
The one thing the couple wanted from their experience was the beauty of a transformed space without the hassle of an outdoor wedding. They wanted the transformative feel you might get from a tented wedding, but they wanted it to be entirely indoors. The solution came in the form of The Thompson. Its elegant spaces and soaring ceilings were the perfect canvas for a mixed atmosphere.
With the right steps, the right decisions, you’ll naturally have an amazing celebration - and have a little fun along the way too.
Let’s dream together.
I see a world of possibilities for you.
And that’s a pretty fun place to start.
