Planning in harmony with Mother Nature was a lesson in flexibility. Originally, the couple’s ceremony was supposed to be on the beach. But, having planned events at the Baha Mar before, we knew there was a high wind risk in that location. So, we planned a ceremony in a more protected area, where the couple could exchange their vows tucked against a lush jungle backdrop undisturbed by the strong gusts coming off the sea.
As if the weekend wasn’t already memorable enough, Allie’s aunt and uncle had a surprise up their sleeves! They hired the Junkanoos, a traditional Bahamian dance troupe, to spark the celebratory spirit during the transition from cocktail hour to the reception. The subtle details of the reception decor enchanted the eyes, with delicately patterned tablecloths evoking tropical foliage and pink and tangerine florals adding splashes of vibrancy.
In the Caribbean, we always say you can let the tropics be your decor, and paradise your dance floor.
Picture a welcome party, wedding, and morning-after brunch, all set against the backdrop of a tropical villa and the soothing song of the Caribbean Sea. When the natural beauty of the Bahamas converges with elegant design, you achieve true wedding magic!
Allie and Mike came to us via their venue: the incomparable Rosewood Baha Mar. They shared their dream of whisking their family and friends away to the tropics for a weekend of celebrating, and we began collaborating to bring that vision to stunning fruition.
The resort’s three hotels provided ample space for everyone to stay on-site, a must-have for this close-knit family from the Northeast. It was like a weekend spent at their families’ shore home in New Jersey but with the unparalleled beauty of the Baha Mar to sweeten every moment.
With the right steps, the right decisions, you’ll naturally have an amazing celebration - and have a little fun along the way too.
Let’s dream together.
I see a world of possibilities for you.
And that’s a pretty fun place to start.
