Welcome to St. Thomas – Where Sun, Sand, and Happily Ever After Begin
As destination wedding planners, St. Thomas is one of our all-time favorite spots for a wedding abroad. The island has it all – breathtaking beaches, crystal-clear waters, gorgeous gardens, and a laid-back Caribbean vibe.
Plus, it’s an excellent location to travel outside of the US. It’s perfect for people who haven’t traveled extensively outside of the US because it’s convenient to get to. And the local culture is welcoming, friendly, and service-oriented.
In St. Thomas, guests can find various activities to suit their preferences, including adventurous ones like snorkeling and more relaxed options like lounging on the beach with a drink in hand. And the local cuisine of fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and delicious Caribbean spices will make your taste buds dance.
Another amazing thing about St. Thomas (where does it end, right?!) is that planning a wedding is a breeze. Since it’s a US territory, US citizens have no passport requirements, and the legal process for getting married is pretty straightforward. And don’t worry about finding accommodations – we have just the place for you and your loved ones.
But most importantly, St. Thomas provides the perfect backdrop for your celebration. Imagine saying your vows on a secluded beach with the sun setting behind you, then dining and dancing under the glow of a Caribbean moon. It’s a tropical dream, and we can make it happen.

Traveling to St. Thomas
Getting to St. Thomas is relatively easy, thanks to its status as a popular tourist destination. Several transportation options are available, depending on where you’re coming from.
The most common way to get there is by flying into Cyril E. King Airport (STT), located on the island’s southwestern side. The airport serves numerous airlines, including major carriers like Delta, American, and United, as well as smaller regional airlines.
If you’re coming from the mainland United States, you can find direct flights to St. Thomas from cities like Miami, New York, and Atlanta. If you’re traveling from elsewhere in the Caribbean, several airlines operate flights to St. Thomas from nearby islands.
Once you arrive in St. Thomas, a variety of transportation options can get you to your accommodations. Taxis are readily available at the airport and port, and there are also car rental companies if you prefer to have your own vehicle. Many resorts and hotels also offer shuttle services, so check with your accommodations beforehand to see if that’s an option.

Things to Do on the Island
St. Thomas offers a wealth of activities and excursions for your guests to enjoy during their stay. Let’s start with the beaches! They rank among the most beautiful in the world, drawing you in with their powder-soft sand and calm, blue waters. Your guests can relax in the sun, take a dip in the ocean, or try water sports like snorkeling or stand-up paddleboarding.
For those seeking more adventure, St. Thomas provides plenty of exciting options. They can hike to the top of a mountain for breathtaking views, zip-line through the jungle, or take a thrilling helicopter tour of the island. Water lovers will enjoy sunset cruises, deep-sea fishing trips, or the opportunity to swim with sea turtles!
St. Thomas also boasts rich history and culture. Your guests can dive into the island’s past by visiting historic sites like Fort Christian, Blackbeard’s Castle, or the St. Thomas Synagogue. And, of course, they can shop and dine in the charming town of Charlotte Amalie, where they can savor local cuisine and pick up souvenirs to take home.

Take a Trip to St. John
St. John is a neighboring island to St. Thomas and is only a short ferry ride away. Although smaller, there are plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy.
One of the main attractions on St. John is the Virgin Islands National Park, which covers over 60% of the island. Here you can hike through forests, swim in pristine waters, and snorkel around colorful coral reefs.
There’s also the opportunity for beach hopping, exploring museums, and strolling through charming shops for a souvenir or two.

The Best Time of Year to Get Married in St. Thomas
When planning a destination wedding in St. Thomas, one of the most important things to consider is the time of year. Ideally, you’ll want to avoid hurricane season or times when the island is experiencing heavy rainfall.
Peak season in St. Thomas runs from December to April, and the weather is sunny, dry, and comfortable. However, keep in mind that this is also the busiest time of year, so you’ll need to book accommodations and vendors well in advance.
If you want to save money, consider having your wedding during the shoulder season (May to June or November) when the crowds are smaller, and the prices are more affordable. Just be aware that you may experience some rainfall during these months.
On the other hand, if you’re willing to take a chance, the off-season (July to October) can offer some great deals on accommodations and activities. Just be prepared for hot and humid weather, occasional rain showers, and the possibility of a hurricane.
