Destination I Dos That Felt Like a Dream

Tucked within the storied grounds of the Ritz Paris lies a hidden haven from the city’s vibrant bustle. In the Grand Jardin, sunlight filters through the leaves just so, and the soft rustle of foliage invites a sense of calm. It was in this lush, enchanted setting that Amanda and Max exchanged their vows.

There wasn’t a single detail of this destination wedding weekend that wasn’t quintessentially Parisian, even though Paris wasn’t the couple’s original vision. When they first came to us, their hearts were set on Lake Como (and who could blame them?). But as their luxury wedding planners, we began to uncover their top priorities, and it became clear that another destination would serve them even better. 

A recent tour of the Ritz Paris was fresh in our minds, and we couldn’t ignore how seamlessly it aligned with everything the couple envisioned for their wedding day. The moment they experienced it in person, they knew: the Ritz Paris would be the perfect backdrop for the next chapter of their story.

The weekend began with a floating welcome party aboard a yacht drifting lazily along the Seine, the setting sun casting a golden glow over the city. Dinner in the cabin was lively and warm as loved ones from near and far raised their glasses in celebration. 

Exceptional hospitality anchored every event throughout the weekend, from the welcome soirée to the wedding day itself. Amanda’s family owns restaurants, and her mother is a level four sommelier, setting a high standard for the culinary and wine experience. 

What truly set Amanda’s vision apart, however, was her devotion to timeless design. Stepping into the Grand Jardin for the ceremony felt like entering a dreamscape, with a lush floral arch framing the moment, pathways lined with blooms, and love at the center of it all. A palette of white, ivory, and the palest blush evoked classic French sophistication and the promise of new beginnings.

And then there were the Flower Grans.

Just months after Max proposed, Amanda lost her beloved grandmother. To honor her presence in spirit—and to celebrate the couple’s deep-rooted family ties—Max’s two grandmothers took part in the ceremony. As they made their way down the aisle to their seats of honor, they gently scattered fresh petals before them. It was a gesture rich with meaning, and a memory in the making. The kind of moment that lingers long after the day has passed, just as every wedding should.
