Setting the Scene

Megan and Billy just got engaged on the 7th followed by a romantic getaway to Post Ranch Inn!  You are looking to have a wedding ceremony and reception with family and friends in Winter 2022/2023 with around 125-175 guests and are just getting started with planning.  You’re looking to plan a beautiful mountaintop ceremony followed by a fun reception in a Colorado mountain town, that brings both of your families together for a celebration focused on a great location, music, food and drinks, without too much focus on the formalities of a wedding.  Getting started planning from out of town during a pandemic has been a bit overwhelming, and you’re looking for a planner that understands what you’re looking for and can help alleviate any stress, understand your vision, and help this celebration come to life.

Your vision for this celebration weekend is to create a fun atmosphere where friends and family can dress up and enjoy a beautiful night out without the stress of a ‘“typical wedding.”  The perfect reception location will have gorgeous views, and a somewhat finished space that doesn’t need a decor overhaul, rather, some pretty floral and linens, cool lounge pieces, great food, and a great view!  We’ve identified a few potential locations as fitting the bill for your mountain winter celebration to bring guests coming from all over the country for a gorgeous evening celebrating Megan and Billy.  You’re looking for a planner to help you make smart decisions to maximize your investment in this important celebration and make it feel very personalized to the two of you without becoming over the top, or adding unnecessary stress.

Aesthetically, the evening will highlight the impressive views of whichever mountain town you select, adding in some gorgeous floral in a natural, ivory, white, and greenery palette with warm lighting to complete the look.  Megan and Billy, you really believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects you as a couple and will allow for a relaxed vibe in an elevated atmosphere. Being well travelled, you are both into great food and wine, so ensuring that the meal is inviting and delicious with great presentation is an important aspect of the evening, along with attentive service and a great selection at the bar.

I absolutely understand that maintaining a full-time job and planning a wedding from out of state during a pandemic is overwhelming.  You want to host all of your closest friends and family in one of your favorite cities, participating in your favorite experiences, and truly enjoying the weekend without any unnecessary stress and chaos.  I would love to work with you both, and your families to make that come together into a beautiful and memorable weekend

Planner

I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board,  dreamer… The list goes on.

I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…
