Setting the Scene
Carson and Andrew, you met in college at Texas A&M while hanging out with friends before a football game and have been together for about three and a half years. You recently got engaged when Andrew popped the question on the helicopter pad of the golf course at Moonlight Basin. It was a dream proposal followed by a fun weekend with friends, and you’re excited to return to this special location to plan your wedding!
Big Sky is a special location to the two of you as you’ve visited multiple times since Carson’s parents purchased a home there. Your vision for the weekend is an outdoor ceremony that really highlights the stunning mountain views followed by a tented reception. You’re still considering a stations-style dinner vs. a seated event. Most importantly, the reception should have a fun atmosphere that allows guests to mix, mingle and have fun without being tied to standard event tables. No doubt, we will get guests up and dancing with a party band that evening. While you haven’t nailed down a specific band to play, the energy of live music is key to the feel of the reception.
Aesthetically, Carson, you are leaning toward a fresh white floral palette that feels airy and light. You prefer an elevated transitional residential look in design that doesn’t lean too modern or too traditional. You also love a little bit of a Cape Cod feel with some hints of blue and white. Ultimately, the design should complement the gorgeous landscape with the mountain scenes being a key part of the look and not blurring into the background. You’re excited to host your friends and family in this gorgeous location and want to highlight it throughout the weekend.
At the moment, you’re both still discussing options with your friends and family for the flow of the wedding weekend. You’ll likely host a rehearsal dinner and welcome party to kick off the weekend, and send-off guests with a farewell brunch, but are still brainstorming the perfect locations of those pieces. Ultimately, you’d like to have your guests feel well hosted and really get to kick-back and enjoy this celebration alongside them without stressing about any of the details.
With planning from a distance, moves, and busy lives on your plate, you’re looking for a planner to assist with both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. You will have a wedding with your closest circle in attendance and are looking for it to be a fun and elevated experience, but not over-the-top. Carson and Andrew, you are interested in making your wedding as unique as possible for your guests who have potentially seen it all, and we stand ready to assist you in that cause.
“In a time of chaos, wonderment & being completely overwhelmed, Julian stepped in and gave us so much ease in our lives. That was a priceless gift.”

Planner
I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board, dreamer… The list goes on.
I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…
THERE’S A RIGHT WAY…
And that way is whatever way makes you most comfortable.
I subscribe to the Platinum Rule of treat others as THEY would like to be treated. And as a Washington School of Protocol-trained expert, I’ve learned that etiquette is about making others feel comfortable.
That’s why, I’ll meet you wherever you are on this planning journey. And we’ll walk the path together. With discretion and good judgement.
After all, the way you feel determines how your guests will feel. And I want them to feel fabulous!
