Setting the Scene
Molly and Matthew recently got engaged and are excited to dive in to wedding planning. The two of you had an instant connection when you met at SMU, sharing the same home town of St. Louis. Matt proposed at SMU, the place your relationship began, and you’re excited to invite your family and friends to celebrate this next big step in Dallas. You’re at the very beginning stages of planning and seeking a wedding planner to get the process started.
You don’t have a date set yet, but want to aim for a Fall date in 2022. With family coming to experience Dallas for the first time, that perfect Fall weather is on your mind! The weekend will likely start with a rehearsal dinner and welcome party, although you’re still thinking through great locations for that piece. It’s important that the ceremony be in a Catholic church or a chapel, and you’re considering Christ the King, Perkins Chapel, or as an alternative, Guadalupe Cathedral in downtown Dallas.
For the reception, you’re really looking for a location that is somewhat out-of-the-box. You don’t love the look of a typical hotel ballroom, but also don’t want a tented location. The Nasher Sculpture Center, Marie Gabrielle, and The Dallas Arboretum are at the top of your list, but you’re open to other options. Other key components of the reception will be a classic seated dinner, and an awesome party band to get guests up and dancing to the very end!
While you both lean toward an aesthetic that is more modern and classy, Molly and Matthew, you really believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects you as a couple and will allow for a relaxed vibe in an elevated atmosphere. You love a neutral color palette of white, green, black and hints of tan with clean lines. You’re envisioning white floral arrangements with lots of greenery and plenty of romantic candlelight to really make the space feel warm and inviting. Incorporating creative touches that tell your story as a couple and add to the overall experience is important to you both. Ultimately, you want the evening to feel memorable and thoughtful, without going over-the-top with floral and decor.
Planning for the first time, you are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. Molly and Matthew, this is an important celebration for you both and your families. The two of you have very busy lives and would love to keep this process organized, thoughtful, and fun! When the weekend finally arrives, you want to be able to relax, enjoy and be in the moment for this incredible occasion and we stand ready to assist you in that cause.
“In a time of chaos, wonderment & being completely overwhelmed, Julian stepped in and gave us so much ease in our lives. That was a priceless gift.”

“No matter how many times someone says, “live in the moment” and “enjoy every moment” I think that might be impossible. The celebration flies by and is so incredibly magical but with Julian the planning is just as rewarding and fun as the celebration.”

Planner
I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board, dreamer… The list goes on.
I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…
THERE’S A RIGHT WAY…
And that way is whatever way makes you most comfortable.
I subscribe to the Platinum Rule of treat others as THEY would like to be treated. And as a Washington School of Protocol-trained expert, I’ve learned that etiquette is about making others feel comfortable.
That’s why, I’ll meet you wherever you are on this planning journey. And we’ll walk the path together. With discretion and good judgement.
After all, the way you feel determines how your guests will feel. And I want them to feel fabulous!
