Personalized Wedding Plan Mueller & Riggan

Claire & Carson

Claire & Carson

Wedding Date: August 28, 2021
Ceremony Location: La Jolla Country Club – The 1st Fairway
Wedding Reception Location: La Jolla Country Club – Ballroom & Living Room

Setting the Scene

Claire and Carson have been engaged for a little over a month, following his surprise proposal in Dallas, but they have known each other and been friends since right before they both started started at SMU for their MBA’s. She was coming back to finish and he was just getting stared. She grew up in Denver prior to moving to Dallas and he hails from Arkansas originally so their guests will be from all over the United States.

They are looking to plan a wedding on August 28, 2021 and have settled on La Jolla Country Club in La Jolla, California, and most importantly they want something that is not typical to other weddings they have attended. They will have around 250-300 guests and would like to hold the ceremony and reception in a location that allows for a variety of experiences for their diverse guest count. Originally inspired by a tented wedding, Claire and Carson, have leaned into the beautiful ballroom and living room at the Country Club and the ability of the ballroom to open its doors to the perfect Southern California weather. They are also interested in a party that allows for a station style dinner so that everyone is up, mingling and truly enjoying the party with plenty of action to help draw attention away from the current carpet.

While they both lean toward a style that is more modern but classic, Claire and Carson believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects them as a couple. They are both into food as well so ensuring the meal errs on the side of great is a very important aspect of the evening, especially for Carson, while Claire’s focus will be on the decor and making sure that their eventual reception space feels full yet appropriate to make their event truly intimate. Additionally, they are very into music so a great party band is a huge must.

Planning for the first time, they are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. They will have a wedding with a large number of their friends in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy. Claire and Carson are interested in making their wedding as unique as possible for their guests who have potentially seen it all!

“No matter how many times someone says, “live in the moment” and “enjoy every moment” I think that might be impossible. The celebration flies by and is so incredibly magical but with Julian the planning is just as rewarding and fun as the celebration.”

Planner

I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board,  dreamer… The list goes on.

I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…

THERE’S A RIGHT WAY…

And that way is whatever way makes you most comfortable.

I subscribe to the Platinum Rule of treat others as THEY would like to be treated. And as a Washington School of Protocol-trained expert, I’ve learned that etiquette is about making others feel comfortable.

That’s why, I’ll meet you wherever you are on this planning journey. And we’ll walk the path together. With discretion and good judgement.

After all, the way you feel determines how your guests will feel. And I want them to feel fabulous!
