Setting the Scene

Emily and Brian just got engaged on May 29th, the next step following about three years of dating. You are looking to have a ceremony and reception in Spring of 2022, keeping things somewhat intimate with about 120-140 guests, and are excited to select the perfect venue to kick-off planning. You’re looking for a traditional church or chapel ceremony space, with a bright and open reception to follow in either a Sperry tent, or a venue with tall ceilings and beautiful views. With a detailed vision for memorable floral and stunning stationery, you’re looking for a planner to collaborate with on this picture-perfect day, that also allows you and Brian to keep up with your busy life, big move, and new job!

Your vision for the weekend is to host your guests well with a casual ‘boots & blazers’ style rehearsal dinner for a very Texas welcome, and a ceremony and reception that is memorable and stunning, ultimately continuing into a fun party atmosphere with a great band! With several out-of-town guests, it’s important that either ceremony and reception are in one location, or that transportation is coordinated so that guests can truly enjoy the weekend. We’ve identified the Commodore Perry Estate in Austin as a potentially ideal location, as well as some additional options in Dallas, with venue selection being the number one priority in setting planning in motion. You’re looking for a planner who truly understands your vision for the weekend and helps you make thoughtful decisions to make this important celebration feel memorable and meaningful tying in your personal style as well as incorporating your unique story as a couple.

Emily, you have been curating the aesthetic of the evening for quite some time, and are looking to collaborate with vendor partners to bring your ‘princess & Narnia’ vision to life. Floral is very important with an emphasis on creating ‘wow’ moments that are an absolute stand-out as part of the overall light and bright atmosphere with some whimsical touches, complimenting the finally selected venue. Emily and Brian, you really want to host your closest friends and family well with a reception in a lovely location, with great food and beverage, and an awesome party band like, The Night Owls. With all of these elements in place, it will most definitely be a memorable evening where guests stay to the very end!

I absolutely understand that maintaining a full-time job, moving, a new puppy and planning a wedding from out of town, following a pandemic is overwhelming.  You want to host all of your closest friends and family in one of your favorite cities, participating in your favorite experiences, and truly enjoying the weekend without any unnecessary stress and chaos.  I would love to work with you both, and your families to make that come together into a beautiful and memorable weekend.
