Setting the Scene
Molly and J.B. got engaged just two weekends ago. Your story is one of serendipitous coincidence as you met three and a half years ago on an online dating app as adults, but soon discovered that you actually attended the same elementary school as children. Molly, a labor and delivery nurse, you were born in Dallas and then moved with your parents to St. Louis, where they still reside part of the year. J.B., you work in finance for AT&T, and are a Dallas guy at heart, having attended Jesuit followed by a stint at Alabama and then back to Dallas for your MBA from SMU.
You are looking to plan a wedding in either the Summer or Fall of 2022 for 300 guests and are just in the beginning stages of planning. You are both torn currently between Christ the King and the Good Shepherd Episcopal School of Dallas for your ceremony and know that you would like to have a tent for your reception, but aren’t sure where exactly. But, most importantly you want something that is not typical to other weddings you have attended and that feels authentically like the two of you and are searching for someone to help translate your dreams into reality.
Your vision of a ceremony in either of those sanctuary’s followed by a great party (i.e. food stations instead of a seated dinner, a killer band, a bar to remember) will allow for everyone to be together, mix, mingle, and really bond over this shared experience. It is incredibly important that you find a planner who can assist you in navigating all of the choices that are available, while also helping translate your personal intimate entertaining style to a much larger group.
While you both lean toward an aesthetic that is more modern but classic, Molly and J.B., you really believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects you as a couple. You are both into food as well so ensuring the meal errs on the side of great is a very important aspect of the evening, especially for J.B., while Molly will be focused on the decor (i.e. color and lot’s of flowers) and making sure that your dining space feels full yet appropriate to make your event truly intimate.
Planning for the first time and as the first of your friend group, you are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. You will have a wedding with your closest circle in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy. Molly and J.B., you are interested in making your wedding as unique as possible for your guests who have potentially seen it all.
“In a time of chaos, wonderment & being completely overwhelmed, Julian stepped in and gave us so much ease in our lives. That was a priceless gift.”

“No matter how many times someone says, “live in the moment” and “enjoy every moment” I think that might be impossible. The celebration flies by and is so incredibly magical but with Julian the planning is just as rewarding and fun as the celebration.”

Planner
I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board, dreamer… The list goes on.
I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…
THERE’S A RIGHT WAY…
And that way is whatever way makes you most comfortable.
I subscribe to the Platinum Rule of treat others as THEY would like to be treated. And as a Washington School of Protocol-trained expert, I’ve learned that etiquette is about making others feel comfortable.
That’s why, I’ll meet you wherever you are on this planning journey. And we’ll walk the path together. With discretion and good judgement.
After all, the way you feel determines how your guests will feel. And I want them to feel fabulous!
