Setting the Scene

Hillary and Clay have known each other since they were 16 and on a trip together to Israel. Fate had it that they both travelled from that moment in different directions, but brought them back together when they were set up by a good friend. Incidentally the friend that set them up’s parents were set up by Clay’s parents in College so life has come full circle.

While Hillary and Clay are both from Dallas, she headed to Miami for college and he headed to Austin. Luckily the have both found their home back in Dallas and both of their families are still in Texas making their planning very family-focused.

They are looking to plan a wedding in the Spring or Summer of 2020, and are looking at a variety of venues, but most importantly they want something that is not typically Dallas. They will have around 300 guests from all over the country and would like to hold both the ceremony and reception at the same location and are also interested in a party that allows for a seated dinner for everyone.

While they both lean toward a style that is more traditional with a modern twist, Hillary and Clay do have some definite don’ts for the wedding, including the color purple, nothing outside and an abundance of air conditiontion. They believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects them as a couple. They are both into food as well so the meal is a very important aspect of the evening, especially for Clay, while Hillary’s focus will be on the decor and making sure that their eventual reception space feels full yet appropriate to make their event truly intimate.

Planning in a short time frame, Hillary & Clay are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. They will have a wedding with a large number of their friends in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy. Hillary & Clay are interested in making their wedding as unique as possible for their guests who have potentially seen it all!

“No matter how many times someone says, “live in the moment” and “enjoy every moment” I think that might be impossible. The celebration flies by and is so incredibly magical but with Julian the planning is just as rewarding and fun as the celebration.”
