Setting the Scene

Paige and Chris met just over three years ago after connecting on the dating app, The League. You identified quickly that you are both two smart and successful young professionals on the same track, and balance each other well. You got engaged in October 2020 in the height of the pandemic and spent several months living with Chris’ brother and girlfriend, and added a puppy in to the mix for a fun modern family experience. Since then, you’ve purchased a home for the two of you and your fur baby to live and are ready to celebrate your upcoming marriage with your friends and family.

Paige and Chris, you have selected Saturday, February 26, 2022 for your wedding weekend and have about 120 guests you’d like to invite. You’re envisioning a ceremony on the event lawn at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, followed by cocktails in the Promenade and a lovely and elegant seated brunch in the Pavillion. Above all, you’d like to have an intimate celebration where you both can truly enjoy quality time with your nearest and dearest.

The style of the day should reflect the style of your home with a transitional style incorporating some traditional elements while still keeping things fresh and light in keeping with Chris’ laid-back California style. You’re envisioning white floral with a hint of greenery throughout, and a lovely setting for your seated brunch. Chris, you’re the music guy and would like to incorporate some acoustic music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, with some relaxed and fun live music guests can enjoy during brunch.

This wedding is truly about creating a lovely setting to celebrate you as a couple, bringing in personal details without being over the top. Paige and Chris, you really believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects you as a couple and will allow for a relaxed vibe in an elevated atmosphere. You are both into food as well so ensuring the meal errs on the side of great is a very important aspect of the brunch, especially for Chris, while Paige will be focused on the decor (i.e. clean lines, neutral colors, understated elegance) and making sure that your dining space feels full yet appropriate to make your event truly intimate.

You are a busy couple with lots of new joyful things in your life and are looking for a planning package that includes straightforward vendor and logistics support and concept and design. You will have a wedding with your closest circle in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy. Paige and Chris, you are interested in making your wedding as unique as possible for your guests who have potentially seen it all and I stand ready to assist you in that cause.

Planner

I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board,  dreamer… The list goes on.

I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…
