Personalized Wedding Plan – Darden & Durbin

Personalized Wedding Plan Lynn Darden & John Durbin

Wedding Date: October 10, 17, or 31, 2020
Ceremony Location: Ridgewood Country Club – Outdoor Lawn
Wedding Reception Location: Ridgewood Country Club – Tent & Disco

Setting the Scene

Lynn and John have been dating since since they met in San Antonio, through friends, the weekend of the Alamo Bowl. Lynn made her way there via TCU where she studied PR & Marketing and John landed there via A&M where he studied Finance. They have been dating long distance through college and into the present as Lynn currently resides in Austin and John in Houston. They bring to their relationship two families rooted in Texas, both very family-focused, and steeped in tradition. With most of their guests living in Texas they expect a large number of them to travel to Waco for their wedding.

They are looking to plan a wedding on either October 10, 17, or 31, 2020, and are in discussions to book Ridgewood Country Club, where Carla and Ross, Lynn’s parents, are members. They will have between 250-300 guests from all over Texas and are inspired by a traditional wedding that is a true reflection of their tastes. They would like to hold both the ceremony and reception at the same location and are also interested in a party that allows for a seated dinner, if possible, in a tent at the Country Club, followed by a disco after party in a transformed ballroom.

Ideally, they will hold their ceremony on a lovely lawn close to sunset, their cocktail hour near the tent and a seated dinner in a sperry tent near the 19th hole. Both Lynn and John lean toward a more traditional with a modern twist style of wedding with warmer colors and an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects them as a couple. It is very important to them both that their guests have a seamless experience that allows for small surprises along the way and that they are truly moved by the best that their families and Waco have to offer.

Planning for the first time, Lynn & John are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. They will have a wedding with a large number of their friends in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy while also incredibly intimate. Lynn & John are interested in making their wedding as unique as possible for their guests who have potentially seen it all!
