Personalized Wedding Plan Burton & Schmidt

Blake & Olivia
Wedding Date: March 19, 2022
Ceremony Location: Highland Park Presbyterian Church
Wedding Reception Location: Brook Hollow Golf Club, The Room on Main, The Adolphus & The Crystal Ballroom
Setting the Scene
Olivia and Blake have been engaged since June of 2019, but they met and have been dating since they were introduced by a friend of Blake’s at SMU. Coincidentally, as fate would have it, his parents actually knew her Dad from Highland Park high school, but they had never met until that fateful introduction. While they are both from Dallas, Olivia is currently attending (or as her Dad says, is deployed at) Law School in Lubbock.
They are looking to plan a wedding on March 19, 2022, during Olivia’s spring break, and have settled on Dallas as the location of their nuptials. They have determined that Highland Park Presbyterian Church will host the ceremony, as Blake’s Mother is currently a Deacon there and his parent’s were married there as well. They haven’t yet selected the perfect location for the reception, but importantly they want something that has good bones to be able to build their wedding design upon. Olivia and Blake will have around 150 guests and are also interested in a party that allows for a station style dinner for everyone allowing for more variety, and for everyone to be able to enjoy all of the same activities at the same time.
While they both gravitate toward a more traditional style, Olivia and Blake, believe in an aesthetic that leans toward late 18th century French style and that truly reflects them as a couple. They are both into food as well so the meal is a very important aspect of the evening, especially for Blake, while Olivia’s focus will be on the decor and making sure that their eventual reception space feels full yet appropriate to make their event truly intimate.
Planning for the first time, they are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support in the final months and overall concept and design. They will have a wedding with a lot of their friends in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy. Oiliva and Blake are interested in making their wedding as unique as possible for their guests who have potentially seen it all!

Praise
“I have been in a handful of weddings and truly have not seen one wedding planner be as organized and efficient as Julian. We will forever be thanking him for his time, his talent, and his infectious energy for making our wedding the most perfect weekend.”
— Kasey, Bride

Kasey & Nash – Dallas, Texas

Gabrielle & Will – San Miguel, Mexico
“No matter how many times someone says, “live in the moment” and “enjoy every moment” I think that might be impossible. The celebration flies by and is so incredibly magical but with Julian the planning is just as rewarding and fun as the celebration.”
— Gabrielle, Bride
Planner
I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board, dreamer… The list goes on.
I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…
THERE’S A RIGHT WAY…
And that way is whatever way makes you most comfortable.
I subscribe to the Platinum Rule of treat others as THEY would like to be treated. And as a Washington School of Protocol-trained expert, I’ve learned that etiquette is about making others feel comfortable.
That’s why, I’ll meet you wherever you are on this planning journey. And we’ll walk the path together. With discretion and good judgement.
After all, the way you feel determines how your guests will feel. And I want them to feel fabulous!
