Setting the Scene

Azie & Fred got engaged two years ago, on her birthday, in Colombia! You met through a mutual friend at a lovely dinner party here in Dallas and have been together through thick and thin. You have both found success in your respective careers and are both quite busy, so planning a wedding on your own is not something that either of you can take on at the moment, and you realize that the details on something of this magnitude really matter and you want to make sure you get it right!

You are looking to plan a wedding on October 16, 2021, with around 80-100 guests and are just in the beginning stages of planning. You have not yet selected a venue, but, most importantly you want something that is not typical to other weddings you have attended and that feels authentically like the two of you and are searching for someone to help translate your dreams into reality.

Your vision of a ceremony that is beautiful and elegant, followed by a reception that brings a memorable and unique vibe (i.e. seated meal, a great bar, a memorable DJ) that will allow for all of your guests to be together, mix, mingle, and really bond over this shared experience. It is incredibly important that you find a planner who can assist you in navigating all of the choices that are available, while also helping execute your personal intimate entertaining style.

While you both lean toward an aesthetic that is more chic and modern, Azie and Fred, you really believe in an a less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects you as a couple and will allow for a relaxed vibe in an elevated atmosphere. You are both into food as well so ensuring the meal errs on the side of great is a very important aspect of the evening, especially for Fred, while you Azie will be focused on the decor (i.e. elegant, and inviting) and making sure that your dining space feels full yet appropriate to make your event truly intimate.

Planning for the first time, you are interested in a planning package that includes both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. You will have a wedding with your closest circle in attendance and are looking for it to be fun and not too stuffy. Azie and Fred, you are interested in making your wedding as unique as possible for your guests who have potentially seen it all and I stand ready to assist you in that cause.

Planner

I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board,  dreamer… The list goes on.

I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…

I subscribe to the Platinum Rule of treat others as THEY would like to be treated. And as a Washington School of Protocol-trained expert, I’ve learned that etiquette is about making others feel comfortable.
