Setting the Scene
Sarah and Ross, you met in New York, and after several missed connections, the two of you got together for one fateful dinner and a lovely bottle of Silver Oak. It was clear the connection was there and your relationship went from dating, to living together, to moving together from New York, to Connecticut, to Dallas! Sarah, you are anxiously awaiting an incredibly elaborate proposal from Ross, but in the meantime are moving full steam ahead with your wedding planning. As two incredibly busy professionals, managing work, life and a home renovation, you’re seeking a wedding planner to help alleviate some stress from the two of you and guide you to this joyful season in your lives.
The two of you absolutely love the stunning views in Aspen and fell in love with everything that The Little Nell offers. You’re envisioning renting a larger residence for family to stay in, and potentially hosting about 30 guests for a casual rehearsal dinner to kick-off the wedding weekend. The wedding day is, no doubt, the main event. You are planning on a ceremony on the wedding deck with the incredible mountain views setting the scene, followed by an outdoor cocktail hour, and then dinner and dancing inside the main event space. You’re already spoken with the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, and are excited to have the energy of live music in the space for the reception.
Sarah and Ross, the two of you have experienced plenty of fine dining. Ensuring that the meal we concept for you, your friends and family is creative, elegant, and memorable is a key component of the evening. You’re considering some station-style service for either the cocktail or the dinner portion of the reception and really want to put some thoughtful effort in with The Little Nell’s culinary team to make the meal spectacular.
Aesthetically, Sarah, highlighting the beauty of Aspen is important to you. You’re not totally set on a certain color palette yet, but really want to work with the setting that’s undergoing renovations now and pull the space, the mountains, and some custom details into one cohesive look. You love Gro Designs’ work and are looking forward to hearing their creativity in how to create some truly impactful moments, and bringing the look together, without making anything feel totally “over-the-top.”
With planning from a distance, home renovations, and busy lives on your plate, you’re looking for a planner to assist with both vendor and logistics support and overall concept and design. You will have a wedding with your closest circle in attendance and are looking for it to be a fun and elevated experience, and want to be able to relax and enjoy it without worrying about the details. Sarah and Ross, you are interested in making your wedding as unique as possible for your guests who are coming to Aspen to celebrate the two of you, and we stand ready to assist you in that cause.
“In a time of chaos, wonderment & being completely overwhelmed, Julian stepped in and gave us so much ease in our lives. That was a priceless gift.”

Planner
I wear many hats (er bow ties.) I’m a diplomat, designer, advisor, counselor, sounding board, dreamer… The list goes on.
I’ve dabbled and directed everything from catering sales and management for the Crescent Hotel and Rosewood Mansion, to wedding planning and floral design for Bella Flora of Dallas. And along this 15 year journey here’s what I know is true…
THERE’S A RIGHT WAY…
And that way is whatever way makes you most comfortable.
I subscribe to the Platinum Rule of treat others as THEY would like to be treated. And as a Washington School of Protocol-trained expert, I’ve learned that etiquette is about making others feel comfortable.
That’s why, I’ll meet you wherever you are on this planning journey. And we’ll walk the path together. With discretion and good judgement.
After all, the way you feel determines how your guests will feel. And I want them to feel fabulous!
