Setting the Scene

With Kristen and Henry’s wedding coming up in November, Laura, you’re excited to get started with planning a “Texas-sized welcome” for all of your friends and family to kick off this important celebration. You’re planning on a rehearsal dinner with the large wedding party and family at Sixty Vines, followed by a fun welcome party in the Courtyard and Garden Room at the Crescent. You’ll also need a little assistance coordinating transportation for you and your family members on Saturday, and would like to welcome your friends and family members over for a lovely brunch at your home on Sunday. Ultimately, you’d like this to be a thoughtful celebration that gives all of your nearest and dearest a moment to connect and enjoy the weekend and be a guest as well, allowing a trusted planner to handle the details.

Friday evening’s events will begin with a lovely cocktail hour in the courtyard outside the greenhouse, followed by dinner at Sixty Vines. You’d like to add some personalized touches that feel appropriate for the space without making it feel over over-produced. At Sixty Vines, a fun video, lovely toasts and some elegant and tasteful tabletop decor is all the space needs. Following the dinner, guests will return to the courtyard where some fun activations that encourage guests to interact will be in place. Some great music, lovely lighting, and some creative activities that tell Kristen and Henry’s story will set the scene for the evening. The priority being to create an inviting environment and allow everyone to truly visit before the rush of the wedding day.

Aesthetically, the evening will highlight the beauty of each space while bringing in some elements to make it feel even more welcoming. At the Crescent Courtyard, selecting some rented tables that don’t require tablecloths, and some lounge furniture, while letting lighting tell the story will be key for this event. Laura, you believe in an understated less is more type of atmosphere that truly reflects your family and will allow for a relaxed vibe in an elevated atmosphere. Some fun and interactive food stations with a casual feel, excellent bar service and great music will complete this event. You’re looking for a planner that will help you concept creative ideas without over-doing it, think through each and every detail, and make smart decisions on your behalf so that you can truly enjoy this weekend with your son and future daughter in law.

Continuing to Sunday, you’d like to host your closest friends and family in your home for a great Mexican-style brunch and coffee bar for a relaxed end to the weekend. You know how quickly the weekend will go by, and would like this moment to have one last meal with family and friends before they depart. This should be lovely and simple, and you need someone to ensure that each detail is thoughtfully handled so that you can get a little rest before joining your guests after a beautiful evening.
